Every Child Ready to Read is a 5-week series for families with young children ages Birth to 5 years old.

It is a parent workshop/playgroup/storytime all in one!!

“Learning to read begins before children start school.  From the time they are infants, children learn language and other important skills that will help them learn to read.  Developing early literacy skills makes it easier for children to learn to read once they begin school.”

Readers begin at page one of the book that is posted.  Whether walking, skipping, or leaping to the next page, readers will follow the life cycle of a flower as told through the adventures of a tiny seed.  The 2 page spreads are posted over the course of the “walk” and ends with a live reading, crafts and book giveaway.  Registration requested but not required @ 413-528-0721 or familynetwork@chpberkshires.org

April Parent Workshop:  MoneySense: Family Finances

*Topics to include family budget, credit score, tricks and tips to decrease spending, family activities, handouts and resources includeing a “saving chart” activity, chore charts, Berenstain Bears Book.  Smart “moneysense” is a family affair!!
